Musical analysis service for musicians and music teachers - to better understand the music you are studying.
Also offered - training for analysis required during:
- Trinity and LCM graded exams discussion (viva voce).
- ABRSM aural tests.
- GCSE, A level and degree level listening exams.
I provide in depth analyses of musical scores in order to help students and teachers understand the music they are studying, and be better prepared for the kinds of questions the examiners may ask during: the discussion part of the LCM/Trinity exam; the ABRSM aural test (question C - questions about a piece of music including its style, period and character, grade 4 upwards); or during the written listening exams in music GCSE, A level and degree. Please note, I do not write your coursework for you or provide answers to actual exam questions, as this would be unethical. I do not support plagiarism or cheating. Instead, this service is aimed at helping musicians better understand music, and to become aware of the sorts of things they need to look out for in an exam, and how to find them. If you need tutoring on how to analyse a musical score, this is the service for you. This service is also helpful for musicians who are not doing exams, but who just want a better understanding of the music they are playing, in order to enhance their performance.

All you need to do is email me a scan or (clear) picture of the score (public domain), in either pdf, jpg or png form. Then I will annotate it, using colour coding for added clarity, and return it to you, usually as a pdf. Delivery time is two to three working days after receiving cleared payment. Price is from £15.75 per piece of music. A very long or very advanced piece of music takes longer to analyse, so it may be a higher fee. As a rough guide, most piano exam pieces in the Trinity, LCM or ABRSM syllabus will fit within the £15.75 fee.
